Commenting on blogs is no longer open season for spewing anonymous bile and hatred.  The bad old days of anonymous Wild West commenting is dead.

WordPunk requires all commenters be registered and we use OpenID to verify your identity.  We just published a Registration Page that teaches you how to set up and use OpenID so you can comment.

If you were using the "Movable Type" option to login here to comment, we now need you to use OpenID instead.

The cool thing about OpenID is you may already have an account, but you don't realize it yet.  If you need help, please use the Registration Page to contact us.

I'm pleased to announce a brand new blog that I think you'll enjoy reading: David W. Boles' RelationShaping ->(.  Here is our new, semiotic, logo that suggests the intention of the site:  How technology Re-Forms and Re-Shapes our Mind-Body memes in a Relational Universe and it indicates "The Spear of Technology Piercing the Body In Situ ->(."

One Million Served

On my Urban Semiotic blog we are trying to reach the historic and substantial goal of ONE MILLION READERS by January 1, 2008.

It's pretty amazing we currently have around 863,000 Urban Semiotic readers in a little more than a year of being hosted on WordPress.com.

Please visit Urban Semiotic to help us reach our readership goal for the New Year so we can watch the numbers turn together!

Called Worse by Better People

I am always amazed at the vulgar language people try to use online to convince others of the importance of their argument.

When people begin to curse and insult others in a vicious manner, the good people tune out instead of engaging.

Is Stealing Ever Good?

Is there ever a time when stealing is good?

Yes, the inspired stealing of imagination should always be encouraged.

There is no unoriginal theft left.

Blogging is the New Theatre

Blogging is the new Theatre.

We are now our own producing companies and we create -- in real time -- new tragedies, musicals and comedies every single day online.

One of the greatest blog traffic exchanges of all time -- Blog Explosion -- is now officially dead from a purposeful implosion, a non-caring attitude and an inability to respond to user service requests.

There was a time when Blog Explosion ruled the Blog World. You'd meet new friends, get lots of new visitors and live high on the traffic hog.

Today, Blog Explosion is the gutter of a ghost town.  No one answers technical support inquiries.  No new blog approvals are happening.  No one is there.  The store is empty.  The well is dry.  The town is dust.

We weep for the loss.

While the World Ticks Away

Because of our nature as selfish, yet cogent, beings -- we fail to realize how hard the world spins while we are sleeping.

We miss so much with our eyes closed and minds dreaming.
